January in the Greenhouse

I snapped a few photos in the greenhouse today.  With single-digit temps outside, it seemed like a good idea to capture a few photos that make me think of spring and warmer weather.  Of course while the outside temps are around 2F today, it’s a balmy 65F in the greenhouse as you’ll see from the photos.  The first photos shows off some of our Roma tomatoes (yes our tomatoes continue to produce despite the shorter days and limited daylight.)  The second photo shows something we just discovered today.  Our Epiphyllum Jeffrey Kida has finally shown some signs of life after 8-months.  This is one of the Epi’s that Jeff’s nephew gave us when we visited San Diego last June.  They’ve been alive, but doing very little for 8 months so we’re really excited to see growth.
